The first 10 minutes of this class is a guided meditation directed at deepening your experience of the Relaxation Response. I suggest you use it at least once a day, either in place of or in addition to your 5-10 minute sitting meditation. Also, please stay with your practice of “stopping” to elicit the Relaxation Response, perhaps even extending it a few breaths to deepen the response. This is one of the cornerstones of Mindfulness and will pay large dividends as we begin the actual study of Mindfulness next class.
